MY birthday...
YEP! Happy Birthday to ME!!!I got up...exchanged hugs with my mom and got ready for work. I did talk to Stephen this morning before I went to work. He just makes me smile and makes my day brighter by saying Kitten or Babe. *blushes* I just love it!
I of course had to leave a bit early if I got stuck in rush hour and I predicted it correct on the dot! Got to work on time, 35 minutes after I left the house. Went straight to working in the back, finishing up a box I had started last night and moved on to other things. But meanwhile, something was missing...Steph C wasn't there!! *GASP!*
It turned out that after I texted her, she thought she was supposed to be there at 10, but I got there at 9. So she came in on time at 10 and ordered me to come with her to the break room in the back. She apparently brought me a cute frame with a picture of a victorian lady (from a coloring book, hehe!) looking out a window. Above it, she wrote..."Rosella, Rosella, it's your birthday Rosella. Today you are twenty-three!" It's kinda a song, hehe! She likes to sing, "Rosella, Rosella, I love ya Rosella! Rosella, you are only a day away!" (singing to the music of "Tomorrow, Tomorrow")
Along with the picture, she brought cupcakes, hehe!! All the folks that were there to open the store in the morning (a total of 4 of us) sang happy birthday to me. *blushes* And of course, there were candles for me to blow out, but oddly, I had no wish in mind and just blew the candles out cuz the occasion called for it. Still, it was SO sweet of Steph C to do that for me!
Anyways...
We worked, got everything done, cleaned up the back a bit and went home. I dunno what I was expecting at home, but lets say, I was kinda disappointed. I was looking forward all week to getting some cards from my dad, other folks I know. But there's nothing in the mail for me except for some items from Normandale talking about my financial aid award letter and my orientation. *sigh* Just as well...
I just sat around at home...bored out of my mind waiting for mom to come home and take me out for dinner.
OMG! The place we went for dinner wasn't the Green Mill, it's too far away and it was rush hour time, so we decided to go somewhere else. I found this FABULOUS restaurant online called Piazza's Ristorante! *droooooool* I was originally gonna go for some pizza, but changed my mind and wanted baked ziti!! OMG, once the pasta hit my mouth....I coulda just choked in my own drool, LMAO!
But I'll say this...this is one restaurant I'll be coming back to quite often!! It's such a nice quiet atmosphere, it's family owned and everything is made from scratch! So it's very genuine!! The service was quiet and right on time, very clean! *whispers...Stephen...I AM SO taking you there when you visit me in the future!! Low carb diet be damned, LMAO! ;-)*
I told mom on the way to the restaurant that I wanted ONE thing for my birthday...a bra, hehe!! So we agreed to go to Victoria's Secret after dinner and pick me a bra and take a look at Best Buy for that camera I want. Ahhhhh, I got a NICE pretty pink Very Sexy Balconett bra! *sighhhh* Major OMPAH!! (as in major push-up) Super sexy, hehee!!!
Then we went to Best Buy, looked at the digital cameras and tried them out. Turns out that I actually like the Nikon CoolPix 5.0 MP one better than the 4.1 MP I found online. Eventhough it is about 30 bucks more, but it has SO MUCH of a clear picture!! *ponders a bit...OH WAIT!!!!* Fuck, that wasn't the one I wanted! I still want the Nikon CoolPix 4600 cuz of the picture, it was so damn sharp!! The 5.0 MP was alright, just extremely bright! I should look at it again with help of someone who works there. It was extremely busy there!
But atleast mom has an idea of what I want. We also did look at the laptops for mom. I DO NOT want her to get a laptop that is better than mine! Is that selfish of me? ABSOLUTELY! But I was thinking this...What if I bought one for MYSELF (again) and gave this origional one to her? That'd be SUPER!! I love electronics, I do, once I know exactly HOW they work and all that!
Anyways...I'm home now...sitting on my air matress, hopefully, for the last time. I'm gonna read a bit, go to bed and wake up early so I can go see Debbie at Normandale for the interview for requesting my own transcriber while in school. Fun...*sigh* I promise to update y'all tomorrow on this!
